  • Director, Screenwriter & Producer

    Jimmy Jenkins started his directing and producing career in 2013 at Black Entertainment Network (BET) and Tyler Perry Studios. Straight out of college, Jimmy started his production career at his local high school where he produced stage plays that quickly outgrew the building. In 2016, Jimmy achieved great success with his stage play "Black Boy Blues" reaching a live audience of over 10,000 people. In 2017 he produced, directed and wrote his first small budget feature film Sinners Wanted starring Lamman Rucker, Clifton Powell, and many other notable actors, premiering on TV One and BET Plus.

    In 2020, Jimmy co-directed and produced his debut documentary film Basketball County - In The Water on Showtime, Executive Produced by NBA Superstar Kevin Durant and 35 Ventures. The film focused on the exceptional NBA talent that was born and raised in Prince George's County, MD and became one of the top documentaries of the year for Showtime.

    In 2021, Jimmy launched Playwatch Kids, LLC where he is the CEO and President of content. Playwatch Kids is a streaming platform and animation studio targeting minority children, helping to aid in education and clean entertainment. The company is set to release a 10 episode faith based christian cartoon called ‘The Marvelous Light’ July 2023 along with a plethora of other animated IP’s.

    In 2022, Jimmy debuted his new stage play Poor Man Rich Soul at the historic Duke Ellington Theatre reaching over 20,000 people. Jimmy is currently directing two documentary projects on the dominance of the University of Alabama football program with Nick Saban and NBA players out of Canada featuring Steve Nash and other NBA elite. Both set to release in 2024.

    August of 2023 Jimmy will be producing, writing and directing an original script called ‘God With Us’. The story is about a chaste inner-city teen given a mission by God to save humanity; she must give birth to the Savior of the world through a universal rebellion to dismiss religion. The film has a rough budget of 1.2 million with hard commitments of $400K. The film will be shot in Washington, DC & Maryland with full support of the new 30% tax credit. First Baptist Church of Glenarden with membership of over 20,000 people has also confirmed to partner on the film in promotion and connections to other major mega churches across America.

    2024, Jimmy is set to go into production on a 4-part documentary series titled ‘The Rise and Fall of Chocolate City’ explores the cultural touchstones and perfect storm circumstances that helped to create a Black utopia within the walls of our nation’s capital, while also meeting the dynamic local heroes and opportunistic villains that co-existed with Chocolate City’s borders — ultimately contributing to the once proud city’s destruction. This series will be Executive Produced by Reggie Hundlin alongside Original Productions.

    Quinn Cook is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Zhejiang Lions of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). He played college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils and was one of the top rated basketball recruits in the class of 2011. Cook won the 2015 NCAA national championship with Duke, and won two NBA championships, one with the Golden State Warriors in 2018 and one with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020. He has also played for the Dallas Mavericks, the New Orleans Pelicans, and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
